Telecommunication Operations Chief: June 2016 - Present                                                                                    Sacramento, California

·               Manage and supervise a fifteen person network and plans team that manages LAN and WAN networks while providing additional services in a secure and non-secure environment. Responsible to track and report network health using SNMPc and Solar Winds.

·               Communications Security Account Manager that provides communication security by managing security protocols and administering security devices and material.

·               Selected as Security Manager to conduct and maintain personnel security profiles for over 450 personnel.

Telecommunication Operations Chief: January 2014 – May 2016                                                                   Knightdale, North Carolina

·               Manage and supervise an eight-teen person communications team that provides secure and unsecure video, voice and data communication services. Responsible to track and report training and personnel metrics to supervisors

Telecommunication Operations Chief: October 2011 – December 2013                                                                      Richmond, Virginia

·               Assigned as the central point of contact for Communications Information Office between Regional Support Command, Army Reserve Centers and subordinate units in regards to Video Teleconference, Wireless communications, and network infrastructure.

·               Assisted in fielding and budgeting plans for communication systems across the unit’s hierarchy. Coordinated with wireless vendors AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile on issues until resolution.

·               Responsible for coordinating group and individual training on communications systems based on need and future plans.

·               Maintained, troubleshot, and updated malfunctioning communications equipment and was responsible for effectively communicating the problems and errors to non-technical end-users.  

 

Team Supervisor:  January 2006 – February 2007                                                                                                  Ramadi, Al Anbar, Iraq

·               Served as a liaison between the Army and Marine Corps while supervising the installation and maintenance of voice and data site communication links.

·               Responsible for the set-up and installation of Iraqi Police communication networks, using Motorola base stations and vehicle mounted radios.

·               Gained familiarity and hands-on experience with encryption devices using COMSEC codes and splicing techniques for Category 5 (CAT5) data cabling.

 

Voice Engineer- Junior:  May 2003 – December 2005                                                    Wiesbaden, Hessen, Germany & Baghdad, Iraq

·               Performed and assisted team members in the operation of unit maintenance communication equipment consisting of UHF radios, multiplexers and patch panels. 

·               Responsible for over $500,000 worth of inventory with no lost or damaged items.

·               Supervised a radio relay station in order to extend network operations beyond normal operating capabilities.

·               Installed and repaired a communication network for the Baghdad area of operation which included tactical voice and data observation over a wide range of networks, via satellite – communication reliability rate was 98%.
